ProteOnTM XPR36 Protein Interaction Array System.

Molecular Interactions Service (SPR):

The ProteOn System, a biosensor based in the Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), allows the label-free, high-throughput, real-time study of biomolecules interactions. For example, study of interactions between proteins, proteins with cells, toxins, nucleic acids, drugs for screening and nanoparticles.

This studies provides:

  • Specificity
  • Kinetics: ka y kd
  • Affinity: KD

If the interaction is measured at different temperatures, the thermodynamic constants are obtained, being an alternative to the ITC method. The SPR present the advantage that need low amount of sample, 25-100 ug.
