O 17 de xaneiro de 2023 o Dr. Robert Stryiński (Department of Biochemistry, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland) ofrecerá o seminario "Multiomics studies on Anisakis simplex - a parasitic nematode of great public health importance" dentro do ciclo "CINBIO Seminar Programme." Será ás 12:00h na Sala de Seminarios da Torre CACTI.
'High-throughput technologies such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics play an important role in understanding physiology as well as pathological states in many biological systems. Characterization of host-parasite interactions will help diagnose, control, prevent, and treat parasitic diseases. Anisakis simplex is a marine parasite and the causative agent of the fish-borne zoonosis known as anisakiasis. Omics research has greatly increased knowledge of this parasite and its relationship with hosts, and therefore may be critical to finding an effective way to control anisakiasis'.
