ABSTRACT:
In this seminar it will be shown the synthesis of conducting polymers nanotubes (CP-NTs) and how these modified electrodes can be employed in different areas of electrochemical-based devices. The unique superficial electroactive area obtained can be easily tuned to the construction of high-performance supercapacitors, with great energy storage and durability. In addition, the intrinsic electrocatalytic behavior of conducting polymers can be further employed for the degradation of important micropollutants such as nitrophenolic compounds, generating more energy to increase the energetic parameters of supercapacitors. Finally, COVID biosensors were built up on CP-NTs, producing an analytical electrode with high specificity and accuracy.
