ABSTRACT:
Nano-coatings and nano-biomaterials are significant research areas, for example, to overcome the challenge of the transition to a circular economy and to precision medicine in Health. Different examples are presented in this research. The first on is a case study developed in the framework of the NEWSKIN OITB project in collaboration with ENEA, SPNANO. The second case relates to a novel drug delivery platform (DDP), called “microsponge”, which enables slow-delivery of drugs and biomolecules and was already proven capable of providing 100% therapeutic improvement in treating Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA).
