Photocatalytic conversion of CO2 to high value-added products
Description:
In the frame of the project “Tailored-made catalysts for targeted reactions”, funded by Xunta de Galicia within the call Ayudas para la atracción y retención de talento investigador, we offer a research project aiming at the development of photocatalysts for the conversion of carbon dioxide into high value-added products. To achieve this goal, a fundamental catalyst design approach will be adopted in order to derive structure-performance relationships applying precision synthesis of nanostructured materials, evaluation of catalysts and kinetic studies, advanced characterization, and detailed mechanistic studies.
The selected candidate will conduct his/her doctoral thesis in the TeamNanoTech group at CINBIO (www.cinbio.es).
Qualification:
Master in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science with above-average academic records, fluent in oral and written English, and motivated by scientific research. Prior experience in heterogeneous catalyst design is advantageous.
Duration of the contract:
The initial duration of the contract is 4 months and can be extended up to 3.5 years.
Salary:
1.250 € gross per month.
Starting date:
1st October 2021.
Deadline for the receipt of the applications:

Selection process:
The selection process will be conducted by a committee of 3 researchers from the TeamNanoTech group.
